In a move to push for ubiquity in the mobile space, WolframAlpha, the "computational knowledge engine" has slashed the original price of its iPhone version from $50 to $2 and has made available a free Web-based version for mobile devices (http://m.wolframAlpha.com). The company will also refund with proof of purchase, via a Web form.
The iPhone app version on the iPhone offers the convenience of symbol keyboard for data input. But if you don’t want to spend $2 for this convenience, the mobile Web based is fully functional.
